Urban foraging, mapped together

GoPick is a shared map of edible plants growing in and around our cities — street fruit trees, overhanging figs, herb patches, nut trees and berries. Anyone can browse. Anyone with an account can add a find or improve one someone else added.

How it works

• Browse. Pan the map and pins load for the area you're looking at. Filter by species, season or access.
• Add. Sign in, hit “Add a find”, tap the spot, and record the species, season and access.
• Improve. Every pin is community editable. If a season is wrong or a tree is gone, fix it — edits are logged.

Pick responsibly

• Never pick from private property without the owner's permission.
• Take only what you'll use and leave plenty for wildlife and other foragers.
• Be certain of your identification. Never eat anything you can't confidently name — pins marked unverified are guesses, not guarantees.
• Avoid plants beside busy roads, sprayed verges or contaminated ground.

Where the data came from

The map is seeded with thousands of community-contributed Australian foraging spots and a species list of nearly five thousand edible plants. Seed pins are a starting point — the community keeps them honest.
